You won’t be able to sit still for this rare Saturday night addition to the Music Spoken Here program at The Marrs Bar. Birmingham-based Headquarters of Groove had a great 2023 with several gigs at Hockley Social Club in Birmingham, two dates at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and a gig at the O2 Institute in Birmingham. This is a band that brings the dance to the floor with acid jazz, funk and latin favourites from Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Azymuth etc. along with a good supply of originals in the same groovy vein.

The lineup comprises André Bayliss (drums), Mahendra Patel (percussion), Ted Woodley (bass), Roy Linton (keys), Andy Thomas (guitar), John Sanderson (sax/flute) and Jodi Matthews (vocals).
