Hugh Pascall

Hugh Pascall is a trumpeter who studied jazz at the Royal Academy of Music and the Paris Conservatoire. In addition to leading his own band, is currently playing with Tony Kofi's Inside Straight with Dennis Rollins and Aidan Pope's Octet with Emma Rawicz. He has recorded and toured with a variety of projects including Hans Koller’s Birmingham Jazz Orchestra, John Turville’s E17 Large Ensemble, the Dave Ferris Septet and New York’s The Last Poets. His current band is an accessible, modern approach to post-bop jazz, influenced by Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane; the golden era for an exciting, iconic, lush, jazz sound-world.
