Matt Gough Quintet

Originally from London, Matt Gough is a trumpeter and composer now living in Glasgow. Whilst in London Matt created The Forgotten Fairground; a contemporary ensemble combining music, dance and film.

The Forgotten Fairground was born of a celebration of childhood imagination - a call to us all to remain faithful and true to our youthful, freethinking selves. It’s work has included live performance, education and recorded projects. Matt teamed up with friend, mentor and Emmy- Award winner Andy Bush to create three records and a short film with Andy as producer for B&L.

Matt is delighted to share some of the music from those recordings specially arranged for quintet at Kenilworth Jazz Club. Featuring Matt and the rhythm section from The Forgotten Fairground’s larger ensembles, we also welcome guest Chris Young on alto saxophone.
